I became involved with sports at a very young age. I am the youngest of eight children and have fond memories of playing outside for hours in the country fields of Belleview, Wisconsin. Running and biking everywhere across God's green earth was simply a way of life for a little country girl that grew up next to her Grandma and Grandpa's farm.
I raced my first Ironman in Switzerland in 2003 while serving as an
officer in the U.S. Army. I fell in love with the sport, retired
from the military, and became a professional triathlete in 2007.
With the support and encouragement of my family, my Army-officer
husband and beautiful 6-year-old daughter, I am blessed to share
this journey with you.
